The Planet Essex Festival is a celebration of everything sustainable, environmentally friendly and local. Taking place at the lovely Cressing Temple Barns on 22nd June, this is a great ďecoĒ day out for the whole family. You can enjoy a wide range of talks, demonstrations and workshops, visit the community garden (and shed) take part in forest activities or even create your own junk instrument with the help of the London Junk Orchestra. Over at the Empire Theatre in Halstead, donít miss Comedy Night with Mike Gunn on Saturday 22nd June. Mike is one of the UKís top stand-up comedians and you might well have seen him on TV in shows such as The Comedy Store, Live At Jongleurs or Harry Hillís TV Burp. Joined by Plus Russell Hicks, Matthew Osborn and Jenny Collier, tickets for the 8pm show are a bargain £13.00 each.

The Panfield Fete is on Saturday 22 June, between midday and 4 pm at the Bell Public House, in aid of Little Havens, & the J's, hospices, Panfield Community Association, and the Bell Football club.
